Despite the poor economic conditions, the Pellenc stand proved to be of great interest for many visitors at this years' IOG SALTEX with the centre-piece being the live demonstrations of lithium-ion battery powered chainsaws, hedge trimmers and pruning shears.
Just twelve months ago the company set up a new division to develop a range of products dedicated to parks, gardens and local authorities so it was a welcome boost to win the Silver award for the best stand in the 100 - 149 square metre category.
"We are absolutely delighted that our stand won this award," says Alain Pondant, Pellenc's Director of Green Technology Division. "A lot of time and effort was put in by the team to make sure the stand looked its very best and it is very rewarding to have received this award."
New to the market and making their first appearance at the show were four products - The Selion, Helion, Treelion and C15, a range of environmentally friendly, lithium-ion battery powered chainsaws, hedge trimmers and pruning shears.
Thanks to the company's innovation, and after many years of research, Pellenc has replaced the old combustion engines with a brand new electrical one. Light, odourless, noise-free, with no starting problems and no re-filling of the fuel tank, the old petrol chainsaw, hedge trimmer or brush cutter will seem to belong to the past.
"It looks like we made the right decision to attend the show," said Alain. "Many groundsmen, landscapers and local authority personnel expressed an interest and were generally amazed at just how powerful the products were. It was also a good opportunity to meet British dealers, make some good contacts and to see what the end-users thought of our products."
