Headland Amenity recently held a very successful Turfgrass Information & Demonstration Day at The Oxfordshire Golf Club. Over 60 grounds professionals attended the day which included technical presentations from Headland's Mark Hunt and guest presenter Kate Entwistle.
One of the delegates, Steve Horwood of Chiltern Forest Golf Club, found the day to be very informative and useful. "I thought the seminar was very good - sometimes these things can be a bit heavy on the technical side but I felt that the content of this one was just right. Mark's presentation was excellent. I've been working closely with Iain Richardson of Headland Amenity for 6 or 7 years so I have an understanding of the product but Mark's presentation helped me to have a better understanding of where the plant needs to be. I felt that Mark and Kate's presentations knitted together very well."
After the presentations there was a demonstration of a new cost effective way of removing surface fibre, one of the key drivers of turf disease. Steve comments: "It was good to see this piece of kit in action. It's something that may well be of interest to me in the future."
Iain Richardson of Headland Amenity was delighted with the attendance at the Seminar. "A lot of time and effort goes into organising these days and it is always rewarding to see a good level of attendance. We'll definitely be doing more of these in 2012."
