Last month Playrite were pleased to be involved in a new project that saw their Matchplay 2 surface installed on 4 new Padel courts at Escuela Pia De Barcelona, Spain. The project was installed by Colin Lloyd from Outdoor Carpets who worked closely with Jose Conde, Playrite's Spanish Distributor for Tennis and Sports Surfaces.
Jose recommended Matchplay 2 in blue as the ideal choice to promote the new Padel courts due to its high fibre and low sand content, making it an excellent heavy duty product. This provides a minimal settling in period after installation allowing play to resume almost immediately.
Matchplay 2 is accredited to ITF category 2, Medium Slow and offers extra cushioning for easier impact on player's joints. The needlepunch surface is incredibly versatile and is suitable for tennis as well as multi use games areas, netball, basketball and padel courts.
Xavier Requeno Vilasau, the Manager of Team Partners who are responsible for Escuela Pia De Barcelona, explained how two weeks after installation the feedback has been very positive and the overall maintenance is proving much easier than other surfaces. He continued to add that:
"The level of commitment and fulfilment from Outdoor Carpets and Playrite, particularly the representation by Mr. Conde has been to the upmost satisfaction".
Both Playrite and Outdoor Carpets have extensive knowledge of supplying and installing surfaces across the UK and Europe.
