Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd, the Ipswich based turf equipment manufacturer, has strengthened its dealer network with the appointment David Evans Agricultural Ltd (D.E.A.L.) Turfcare as its main dealer in South Wales. Ransomes Jacobsen is a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company.

D.E.A.L. is based near Barry in Vale of Glamorgan and will market the complete Ransomes Jacobsen product range including E-Z-GO golf cars and turf utility vehicles, Turfco top dressers, Cushman utility trucks and Iseki tractors.

An established agricultural dealer retailing tractors, quad bikes and ATVs, they succeed RS Bird Ltd, who resigned as main dealers at the end of last year to concentrate on their growing E-Z-GO industrial business.

Adding to the end-user support in the region are Garems, a family-owned company established in 1986 and based in Llanelli, who have been appointed as Lawn & Garden and non-exclusive Iseki dealers for the South Wales area.

Rupert Price, commenting on these recent appointments said, "We are obviously delighted to be welcoming D.E.A.L. and Garems into the dealer network. They are two established businesses, with excellent knowledge of their territory and business sectors and will be vital in the push to expand our business growth in the region, going forward.

"It was with much sadness that we accepted the resignation of RS Bird Ltd, who had been a loyal dealer for more than eight decades. The E-Z-GO industrial vehicle business that they have been cultivating for the past five years really accelerated and they decided to concentrate on that area of the business. However, I'm delighted that they will still be associated with the company in this capacity."

Ransomes Jacobsen is a subsidiary of Textron Inc., an $11 billion multi-industry company operating in 32 countries with approximately 40,000 employees. The company leverages its global network of aircraft, industrial and finance businesses to provide customers with innovative solutions and services. Textron is known around the world for its powerful brands such as Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Jacobsen, Kautex, Lycoming, E-Z-GO, Greenlee, Fluid & Power, Textron Systems and Textron Financial Corporation.
