Grandvalira Golf Club, the highest golf club in Europe situated at 2250 metres above sea level in the heart of the Pyrenees, has taken a package of Ransomes Jacobsen turf maintenance equipment from Spanish distributor Green Mowers of Burgos.
The nine-hole course, designed by French-based course architect Jeremy Pern, is 2,590 metres in length and features 31 bunkers. It also has a 15-bay driving range in a dedicated practice area.
Construction began back in 2007 and the course was officially opened on 17th September 2008. Golf can be played from late May to October, when the snow has disappeared and it is a further amenity at the resort which is renowned as the skiing capital of Andorra.
