Greenkeepers and Golf Course Managers should it a make it a priority to visit Dennis on stand M9 at BTME this year to inspect the new Razor Ultra 560 mower.

Developed with input from industry professionals following its exclusive preview at BTME 2009 and designed for a high quality cut on greens and tees, the new 22" mower features an eleven blade cylinder and groomer along with a host of other advanced features.

The Dennis designed heavy duty clutches offer a smooth take up on the drive to the cast aluminium rear roller and easy pull back of the machine for lining up - so often absent on other machines. An ultra short wheelbase offers great manoeuvrability on tight or undulating greens.

Cutter and roller drive are completely independent as is the drive to the mowers tungsten tipped groomer, which 'stands proud' lateral grasses prior to the cutting blade ensuring speed of the playing surface is maintained; a Weile roller is fitted as standard to further enhance the finish with reducing rolling of the leaf before mowing.

Another much criticised feature of many machines are stub shafts sticking out at ankle height, Dennis has designed this problem out with its quick release transport wheel kit and the stub shafts built within the side guards.

As ever the operator is high on Dennis's list of priorities, with easy height of cut adjustment using the 'click adjust' system, while the proven easy start Honda Q9 engine offers low noise, low vibration technology.

This superbly balanced easy to manoeuvre machine will undoubtedly be of interest to other fine turf professionals visiting the show.

More efficient operations are every turf professional's priority, so the new S500 PLUS should be highly useful to BTME visitors.

Combining aeration and overseeding operations, the 50cm (20in) working width spiker/slotter features interchangeable reels.

With the spiker reel fitted, the S500 PLUS aerates the turf, punching through the surface pan allowing air, water and fertiliser to penetrate the root zone for healthier turf. Changing over to the slotter reel allows ideal seed germination pockets to be created with an optional seed box attachment taking advantage of this, dropping seed into the ground at the prescribed rate.

With a slow uptake clutch system for smooth take off the machine is easy to manoeuvre into and out of corners. The interchangeable reels can be swapped over quickly using the simple change over reel lock.

Verticutting is an essential frequent operation to improve turf quality, improving the sward and encouraging finer grasses to flourish. By controlling thatch and removing lateral growths, playing speeds on greens can be dramatically improved without "shaving off" all of the all important plant leaf so essential for nutrient and energy take up through photosynthesis.

The Dennis Verticut TT is ideal for every greenkeeper and groundsman. Easy to operate, the Honda powered machine has tungsten tipped blades for a long working life, and offers single point height of cut adjustment. Regular dedicated use on problematic greens and tees will ensure the best turf quality.

A slow uptake clutch gives a smooth move off and excellent sight lines mean an accurate, effective operation. The cast aluminium rear roller is in two pieces and has a steel differential for easy turning, while high comfort handlebars with low vibration mounts allow for a safe and comfortable operation. Dennis expects the Verticut TT to become an essential tool for maintaining quality fine turf to the highest standards.

Dennis offers an exceptional range of machinery for the turf professional and the stand at BTME will showcase the very latest in leading edge turfcare technology.
