As always the Daily Telegraph coming up with the news. It is well known amongst the Middlesex faithful how anti MCCC they are. Have a look at their story by Steve James lamenting the Lord's pitch for being too flat and lifeless and surprise surprise placing it below Glamorgan (who he played for) and also Mr Liew who writes a good piece on Middlesex.
Also they steal most of their news off of websites like this one.
Have a look at the highlights of the game on the Middlesex webpage and make your own decision, bad pitch or poor batting?

No harm in questioning the wicket in the circumstances, although it is frustrating that supurb bowling and poor batting are all but forgotten if wickets fall. After the review the pitch was found to be ok. Job done and Mick, the 2010 winner of the best County Championship wickets award, can get on with business as usual.
