Rivers Edge Golf Club celebrated its 10th Anniversary and Grand Re-Opening on September 22, 2009 with a golf outing for VIP guests which included representatives from the Myrtle Beach, SC golf industry.
Rivers Edge closed for 3 months this summer to convert the putting surfaces to "SeaDwarf Seashore Paspalum". "The new putting surfaces will provide more consistent playing surfaces under extreme coastal conditions", says Dave Downing, President of Signature Golf Group, Myrtle Beach, SC.
"All of us at Arnold Palmer Design congratulate Rivers Edge on their 10th anniversary. We are very excited to hear about the re-grassing of the greens and switch to paspalum grass. All the courses that we have designed that use paspalum grass are very pleased with the results and we think everyone at Rivers Edge will enjoy the new greens." --Arnold Palmer
