Turf managers and agronomists are invited to Look Forward to the Future of Turf Disease Control at BTME next week (22-24 January). Syngenta and Scotts Professional will be hosting a seminar featuring leading turf researcher, Dr Ruth Mann of STRI, at 4.30pm on Tuesday 22 January, in the King's Suite at the event's Harrogate International Centre venue.

Also speaking at the seminar, Syngenta Technical Manager, Simon Barnaby, will advise that turf managers can create consistently higher quality playing surfaces through more proactive fungicide programmes - to prevent disease before visible damage occurs.
"Using disease forecasting to apply the right fungicide at the right time not only delivers better results, but, over the course of the season, can reduce the number of fungicide applications required and the cost of disease control," he reports. "Coupled with the principle of Rotation: Rotation: Rotation, there is real opportunity for turf managers to achieve better results now, and in the future."
The Syngenta /Scotts seminar is free to all turf managers and agronomists, and will be followed by refreshments and the opportunity to quiz the speakers in detail.
