How does that add up-a £500k pitch gets destroyed but there is only £100k of damage?

Serves them right for having plastic anyway.

maybe £500k was bill for total job... prep work and initial installation, but only the carpet was burnt so it will cost £100k to re-install carpet.

Correct me if I am wrong Leeboy, don't you work at Man City? Isn't the pitch at City of Manchester semi plastic?

Only 3% is made up of plastic, you wouldnt know it to walk on, unlike the one above.

What is wrong with synthetic surfaces if it means the venue can be used by people all year around and any time of day?
