The Scottish Rugby Union has acted on concerns over the state of the Murrayfield pitch and poor disabled facilities by agreeing to £500,000 worth of improvements at the national stadium.
The SRU revealed yesterday that they have sanctioned the buying of new, hi-tech "pitch growth lights" used by Barcelona, Manchester United, Ajax and Celtic in an effort to ensure the Murrayfield surface can cope with the union's push to bring more sporting events to Edinburgh.
