STRI Launches New Book at the BTME/Club House 2006 Show

STRI will launch their latest title, "Rootzones, Sands and Top Dressing Materials for Sports Turf" at BTME/Club House 2006. Written by Dr Stephen Baker the new book replaces his popular, but now out of print, "Sands for Sports Turf Construction and Maintenance".
This long awaited replacement is a complete revision with four additional chapters. The content covers all aspects of sands, rootzones and top dressing materials for sports pitches, golf courses, bowling greens, cricket pitches and lawn tennis courts. Published in full colour the new book also incorporates a useful directory listing contact details of suppliers in the UK and Ireland.
The book will not be released until February but visitors to the show can take advantage of a special pre-publication offer. They can purchase copies of the title for £12.95 and their order will be sent post FREE in February, a saving of £3.00.
Visitors can also purchase copies of Dr Stephen Baker's other new book "STRI Guidelines - Golf Green Construction in the United Kingdom" published in October 2005. A saving of 10% can be made on all copies purchased at the show, the full price is £14.95 plus packing and postage.
Dr Baker will be presenting a seminar discussing the development of these first guidelines for the construction of golf greens in the UK at 2 pm on Tuesday January 24th, in the Queens Suite.
In addition to books visitors to the STRI stand, A14, will be able to check out STRI's full range of services including their 2006 training programme - Putting Science into Practice.
