Surrey Groundsman's Association - Koro Demonstration
The Surrey Groundsman's Association (SGA) in partnership with the corresponding organisation in Kent would like to invite you to view a demonstration of the Koro Top Field Maker procedure at Eltham College. The SGA members have received presentations at the last two county conferences about the Koro and now this is the chance to see it in action.
Keith Kensett is one of the most experienced operators of the Koro procedure on cricket squares which enables groundsmen to resurface their square, improve it's playability dramatically and be in play the following season. The versatile machine can operate at different levels e.g. light Fraize mowing in order to remove surface vegetation, or remove the whole top layer completely, integrate new dressing and completely re-surface the square.
The day will feature a major surface Koro operation on a 12 wicket square with the chance to see another square Koro'd a month before. The Graden machine will also be demonstrated to show how it can work in conjunction with the Koro to provide total cricket square renovation.
The ECB's Pitches Consultant Chris Wood will be in attendance to help with the day and to answer any questions. The details of the day are:
Date Thursday 11th August 2005
Time From 10.30am - 2.30pm
Venue Eltham College, College Meadow, Mavels Lane, Mottingham
Please contact Chris Bullen, Cricket Development Manager, for an attendance form - Tel: 020 7820 5719; e-mail: cbullen@surreycricket.com
