Cricket: Swalec Stadium poised to be centre of world attention.

It is a sign that Welsh cricket lovers thought they would never see.

Outside Glamorgan's new £10m ground the message currently reads: "Next match England v Australia, July 8."

A bit of an understatement just a week ahead of the biggest cricket game ever to be staged in Wales.

In just seven days the eyes of the sporting world will be on Cardiff when Andrew Strauss and Ricky Ponting bring their sides to the Welsh capital for the opening day of the Ashes series.
