Knowing the efforts that members put into the care of sports turf, it is no surprise that many of us are avid fans. With that in mind, we've teamed up with British Seed Houses to spice up the forthcoming football season and give you the opportunity of winning a top prize of £300 by entering the BSH & Pitchcare Fantasy Football League.

The BSH fantasy league is in its fifth season and has been excellent entertainment for anyone that enjoys football. Prize money has trebled this year and with Pitchcare's involvement, both organisations hope the number of industry professionals participating will dramatically increase.

Entry is easy just go to http://fantasy.premierleague.com and register your side - then email your name, contact telephone number and company/organisation name to mail@pitchcare.com. We'll send you the special code to allow you access into the BSH & Pitchcare private league.

Prize money is up for grabs to the top 10 finishers with player points allocated and the league managed independently by fantasy.premierleague.com (The Official Fantasy Game of the Premier League).

You will have to beat participating Pitchcare and BSH staff to get your hands on the prize money, and league chairman Joe Hendy encourages friendly banter throughout the season.

BSH & Pitchcare Fantasy League Prize Money Breakdown

Pitchcare Insider Tips:

Shaking it up at the top: Man City's new influx of stars - top 4 breakers or over paid failures? Pitchcare Stig: One to watch : Energy packed dynamo Carlos Tevez

Young & hungry: Mick McCarthy's young Championship winners Wolves - can they make the step up? Bargain price: Kevin Doyle - scores goals at all levels!

On the down: The loss of some major stars combined with aging performers will surely impact Fergie's stranglehold on the title - Pitchcare Stig: Knacker Yard X1 Michael Owen !

Ones to avoid
: Picking Baggies, Boro & Newcastle players, relegated to the fizzy pop league - they won't score you a point.

They have previous - Pedigree (that is): Last year's Champion Gareth Yandell (HenburyG.C), Runner Up Marcus Phelps (Filton G.C),2008 winner - Joe Hendy, 2007 Winner Chris Poole, 2006 Winner Tony Hendy

Think Mr Saltman should think about changing his teams name, could be interpreted as part of his out of hours activities.....!

Latest update, 45 currently signed up for the PC | BSH league. So an excellent chance to get your hands on some cash at the end of the season - submit your team before the league starts.

People can interpret it how they want Lee!
It probably won't improve my fantasy team's performance though so don't worry.
For anyone intrigued 'The Cottagers' happens to be one of the nick names of my favourite team. The first British side in Europe this season with a 3-0 away win!

Maybe you will be as successful as we were in Europe-the English team which played the most games in Europe and we only got to the quarter final, playing 3 more games than our friends down the road and they got to their final.

Latest update:

77 players now in the league and just 2 days left before the big kick off!

With British Seed Houses Managaing Director William Gilbert & Pitchcare MD Dave Saltman both submitting teams it's just less than 1 in 38 chance that one of them will win the big £300 and less than 1 in 8 chance that they will end up with a share of the spoils.

Make sure they don't by submitting your team into our private league before Saturday.
