The Grass is Greener' Contains the personal recollections of Dennis Lane (The Author) a former Groundsman of Exeter University and ECB cricket pitch advisor for the county of Devon. The book details fond memories of his 25 years working in turf grass management.
The Author:
Dennis Lane Former Coldstream Guardsman began his career in groundmanship in 1969.
1969-1977- Groundsman at Exeter University.
1977-1979- Groundsman at Hampshire CCC.
1979-1994- Head groundsman at Exeter University
2000-present- Devon County ECB Pitch Advisor

The book has twelve chapters detailing different periods of his career.
Comment:
An interesting insight to one mans career spanning more than 25 years in the industry. The book mainly relates to memories of events rather than portray information about technical aspects of turf grass management.
