Time is running out for spectators to take advantage of discounted season tickets for The Open Championship to be played at Carnoustie from Sunday 15 to Sunday 22 July.

Until the end of April, £170 buys a season ticket which gives entry for the eight days of practice and Championship play, a saving of £105 on the full price daily tickets.

"We are continuing our policy of making The Open affordable to all spectators," said David Hill, The R&A's Director of Championships.

"While it will still be possible to pay at the gate, a season ticket represents particularly good value and spectators should take advantage of the discounted rate before this ceases at the end of the month."

During the four days of the Championship, a daily ticket will cost £50, with concession tickets available. Juveniles, under the age of 16, will again be admitted free of charge by applying to The R&A in advance or if accompanied by a responsible adult on the day.

Ticket applications should be directed in writing to: Ticket Office, The R&A, St Andrews, Fife, Scotland, KY16 9JD; by telephone on: ++44 1334 460010 or through on-line purchasing at www.opengolf.com.
