Congratulations
Chris said, "I am delighted to be handed this role and look forward to making my mark at 'The Stoop'.
Leicester City's decision to make Chris redundant, after the club were forced into administration shocked many people in our Industry. At that time there were many messages of support sent to Chris and his family, which they greatly appreciated. There were also angry letters sent directly to the club and the F.A. from members venting their disgust at the decision to remove such a dedicated member of staff.
Some also feared that this was the thin end of the wedge, the feeling being that Groundsmanship was still not being recognised as a professional vocation and that there would be many more experienced Groundsmen for the chop as clubs suffered from the financial loss of On Digital. After all we are only grass cutters! aren't we?
We would like to wish Chris the very best of luck and every success in his new job.
