Three Cumbrian rugby union clubs are among 16 across the north to receive grants and loans totalling over £188,000.
They have been awarded in the latest round of funding approved by the Rugby Football Foundation.
Nationwide, the foundation approved the award of £421,130 in grants and loans to 44 English clubs, with the accent on pitch and clubhouse improvements. Keswick, Upper Eden at Kirkby Stephen and Egremont have received grants for drainage and pitch improvements.
