If you are contemplating the purchase of a new mid range tractor this year, then here's the ultimate demo day to attend.

In kind co-operation with Ian Smith (Grounds Manager) and St Albans School, Pitchcare has invited (list below) the majority of tractor manufacturers to supply one mid range tractor each for impartial testing and review by Ian and his staff. All submitted tractors will follow a pre-determined series of tests as listed below, and the results will be correlated and published via the Pitchcare website and hopefully in time for the February/March edition of the Pitchcare magazine.

There will be a range of tractors on show mostly between 35-45 Hp, testing will be based on the merits and drawbacks of each respective tractor.

Hello! Could you please announce the results of the February tractor testing?
Thank you!

The tractor testing results will be published once we have collated them and spoken with Ian Smith and his team at St Albans. The tractor testing was taking place all last week, so it didn't finish until Friday. Just bear with us, we will get the results out as soon as we can.

I attended the day and found it very useful indeed to be able to view all the major compact tractor suppliers in one go.
I await the testing results with interrest and hope to purchase in March this year.

What tractors did you like best?

8 Feb 2006 by Gary Slinn

I think we may be choosing from Kubota the new L32 and TYM or the Same Duetz-Fahr or Kioti we are looking for something around the 30 horsepower range that is simple to operate and we do not require all the bells and whistles as we will never own too many attachments to be able to utilise them.
The test results may well help the choice.
