The Toro on Tour roadshow reached its final pit-stop of 2011 at The Belfry golf resort in the West Midlands recently, bringing the turf maintenance machinery manufacturer's tour of the country to a successful conclusion.
Organised by distributor Lely UK and involving a host of local dealers across England, Scotland and Wales, the tour saw Toro take its latest machinery launches and expertise right to customers' doors.
Kicking off at Bury St Edmunds Golf Club in Suffolk, the annual tour has travelled as far and wide as Deeside Golf Club in Aberdeen, Scotland, and Conwy Golf Club in Caernarvonshire, Wales.
A terrific turnout of existing and prospective Toro buyers attended the dealer-hosted days to find out more about new 'star' products, the Toro Greensmaster Triflex 3400 and TriFlex Hybrid 3420 greensmowers. This year, there was also the chance to demo the new Workman MDX-D diesel utility vehicle and get an exclusive preview of the Reelmaster 7000-D wide-area-cut fairway mower, as well as test-drive established products from the range.
Highlights of the tour included the day at Deeside Golf Club, which drew some of the region's most high-profile greenkeepers from within a 250-mile radius. The Cottrell Park Golf Resort event in Cardiff also attracted an impressive number of attendees.
Commenting on the success of the tour, Lely's Toro sales manager, Jeff Anguige, says: "This year's Toro on Tour was one of our best yet. As predicted there was a real buzz about the launch of our TriFlex greensmower and we've received several orders for this exciting new machine since. Many thanks to our dealer network and host venues - here's to next year's roadshow!"
