Trimax Mowing Systems has announced it will now offer a three year mechanical warranty as standard on new rotary and flail mowers. The warranty covers the mowers in full time commercial use and was previously limited to one year, with two years on certain components.
Marketing Manager for Trimax, Tim Fanning, believes the offer is unlikely to be followed by other mower manufacturers. "We have always built mowers of exceptional quality, and have total confidence in every machine that comes out of the factory. That's an easy thing to say, but to back it up with warranty is quite a different matter".
Fanning has also suggested that most councils and mowing contractors are looking more carefully at the ongoing cost of their machinery and not just the initial price tag. "Our product is not the cheapest to buy, but if you consider life cost, repairs, maintenance and downtime, the value is easy to see".
