JohnEdwardsJohn Edwards - numb on a sandy beach with a beer and an apple pie seems like a good plan!

Who are you? John Edwards, Head Groundsman for Saints RLFC.

Family status? In a long term relationship with my partner Kim.

Who's your hero and why? My dad. He taught me everything that I know.

What is your dream holiday? A sandy beach, a cold beer and no phones.

What annoys you the most? Unreliable weather forecasts.

What would you change about yourself? I get stressed very easily when things are not going to plan. so I would change that.

Who wouldn't you like to be? The Prime Minister.

Favourite record, and why? Numb by Linkin Park. It's gives me a real buzz every time that I hear it.

Who would you choose to spend a romantic evening with? My girlfriend Kim, but if she wasn't available it would be Frankie from The Saturdays (ha ha).

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do? Get on the next plane to anywhere, as long as it had a sandy beach, to gather my thoughts on how I wanted to spend all my cash on my friends and family.

If you were to describe yourself as a musical instrument, what would you be and why? A drum, because I have taken some beatings (not literally) along the way.

What's the best advice you have ever been given? Don't be scared of anything. Tackle things head on.

What's your favourite smell? Burning wood, fresh cut grass and my dad's home made apple pie.

What do you do in your spare time? I enjoy watching DVDs with my girlfriend Kim, and trying out different foods and new restaurants.

What's the daftest work related question you have ever been asked? It was whilst the pitch markings were being painted for a Sky TV match. After a week of heavy rain, I was asked; "if we turn the flood lights on do you think it will help dry out the pitch so the markings will be okay?"

What's your favourite piece of kit? Ransome Mastiff (soon it will be the Dennis G860 at the new stadium, ha ha).

What three words would you use to describe yourself? Hardworking, honest and reliable.

What talent would you like to have? I would love to be able to forecast the weather. Also, I wish that I had learned to play the piano.

What makes you angry? At work it's when people walk across the pitch when I am trying to work on it (Aaaarrrrggggghhh).

What law/legislation would you like to see introduced? Increase the minimum wage and ban tax altogether.
