John O'Conner (Grounds Maintenance) Limited, one of the UK's largest privately owned landscape maintenance service providers, has won two prestigious awards at the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Trade Awards Ceremony, celebrated this year at the London Grosvenor House Hotel.
The company won Employer of the Year and a Special Award went to the Chairman, Mr John O'Conner. This special award was in recognition of his commitment to BALI and tireless efforts promoting the landscape industry throughout the UK over the last 30 years.
The Employer of the Year Award is a major accolade for the Hertfordshire based company, and recognises and celebrates performance of excellence, staff development and exemplary business practises. The Judges commented that John O'Conner (GM) Ltd's company vision, practises and values clearly demonstrated commitment to both their customers and staff.
The awards were presented to the company by television and radio presenter Clive Anderson and TV gardening celebrity David Domoney.
Matt O'Conner, Managing Director, commented "These awards are fantastic accolades for John and the Company - we fully recognise the success of our business is based on partnerships working with our customers and our suppliers, such as Hayter, Ransomes Jacobsen and Stihl, together with the skill and dedication of our staff who have worked so hard in what has been a challenging year with inclement weather and difficult economic conditions".
Chairman John O'Conner added, "Next year we will be celebrating 40 years of trading and we are looking forward to building on the success of these awards and taking the business to new levels."
