Polaris is pleased to announce two promotions that come into immediate effect. Ross Clifford has accepted promotion to General Manager EMEA Products for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

At this point Ross will remain in the UK with responsibility for establishing and leading EMEA product development and management, working closely with the U.S. product groups, engineering and international team. Ross joined Polaris in 2007 as General Manager for Polaris Great Britain. He has been instrumental in achieving profitability and building a strong team in the UK.

Phil Everett has been promoted to the position of Country Manager of Polaris Britain Limited. In this new role he will be responsible for leading the UK team in the continued growth of Off Road Vehicle and On-Road business. Phil joined Polaris in 2002 as a District Sales Manager and became National Sales Manager in 2006.

He has been acting as Country Manager for several months, working closely with Ross Clifford and recently focusing on sales management and dealer development. Phil has held senior positions in the ATV industry for many years and he is also Chairman of the AEA (Agricultural Engineers Association) ATV and Side x Side Group.

Phil is very excited by his challenging new role and looking forward to expanding the business with the introduction of new products focused on the EU markets.

EASI does it with Polaris

ATV and quad manufacturer Polaris is working with EASI, the European All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute to offer free ATV training for Polaris customers.

EASI is a non profit making organisation founded in 2002 to implement a European wide programme of all-terrain vehicle safety education training and awareness. EASI is supported by the major ATV manufacturers and on average twenty-eight courses are conducted every month, with 34 active Rider Course Instructors offering training throughout the UK.

Their introductory ATV safety course covers safe riding techniques, safety clothing, protective personal equipment, pre-ride inspections, risk assessment and environmental issues. Riders wishing to learn how to reverse, tow and load their ATV can add QVC's Generic Loading, Towing and Reversing (GLTR) module. Anyone considering buying or using an ATV should take the training course just in the same way as learning to safely drive a car or ride a motorcycle.

EASI approved ATV operator training includes specialised modules for agriculture, the police and military, sports and corporate leisure, construction, geological surveying and children. Coming developments will be a Side x Side training module and a requirement for a quadricycle module. Some users, both for work and leisure, may require further training for specialist applications in addition to the initial EASI Rider Course. Information on the courses can be obtained from Polaris and their dealers. Polaris Britain 0800 915 6720 www. polaris-britain.com EASI can be contacted on 01903 816286 .
