warwickshire GA awards march 2011 017The Warwickshire Groundsman Association held its annual awards at Moseley Cricket Club and was given a highly informative presentation from Steven Pask, the mastermind behind the state of the art new drainage development at the County Ground, Edgbaston.

The winners were:

John Hawkins and Wolvey CC for the Warwickshire Cricket League
David Vaughan and Leamington CC (3rd XI) for the Cotswold Hills League
Ian Maddocks and Knowle & Dorridge CC, Birmingham League

Many congratulations go to the winning groundsmen, their clubs and assistants.

The next event of the Warwickshire Groundsman Association is a tour of Aston Villa Football Club's facilities and if anyone wants to know more about the Association please contact Ed McCabe, edmccabe@edgbaston.com
