Terrain Aeration's Airforce Scamper Terralift machine will be on show at Harrogate for the first time.
With a range of compressed air pressure between 8 and 20 bar, easily controlled by the operator, Scamper is specifically designed for one-metre deep aeration treatment on all fine turf.
Endorsement of the advanced terralift machine's capabilities comes from Jim Parker, Bowls Manager at the Waterloo Crown Bowling Green in Blackpool, which hosted the National Crown Bowling Championships this summer. Following Terrain Aeration's treatment of the entire green using Scamper, The Waterloo (as recorded on Sky T.V.) drained in record time despite torrential rain during the finals.
"After the last quarter final the green was like a lake," Jim remembers. "But three quarters of an hour later, when we started the semi finals the surface water was gone."
Airforce Scamper is ideal for the relief of compaction and water logging on all fine turf including golf greens and tees, crown and flat bowling greens, private lawns, croquet and putting greens. Play can resume immediately after treatment.
The company will also be showing an example of their one-metre soil core samples, which eliminate the need for test pits.
