Two of the oldest and most respected names in British grounds care equipment have joined forces to create the ideal outfront flail mower combination.

Ransomes Jacobsen, one of the leading turf maintenance equipment manufacturers, based in Ipswich, Suffolk and Wessex, the respected agricultural and grounds care brand owned by Broadwood international from Bordon, Hampshire, have been working together creating, testing and perfecting an exclusive out-front flail mower.

Designed to complement the popular Ransomes HR3300T power unit, the Wessex ProLine TGX-H flail mower takes all the best attributes of the existing PTO-powered TGX flail mower, and builds these features into a superbly constructed hydraulically-powered mower.

"We've been looking to develop an out-front flail mower that's tough enough to take the knocks of everyday professional amenity use," says Richard Comely, Product Manager at Ransomes. "Following voice of customer discussions together with input from our dealers, we established the need for a hydraulically driven flail unit, as this allows substantially improved articulation on uneven ground. We have been able to mount the mower closer to the power unit, which in turns improves manoeuvrability, reduces overall length and the need for excessive counter balance weights. We already knew the Wessex TGX mower was one of the best available and it was merely a question of our respective development teams working closely together to ensure a perfect fit with our HR3300T power unit."

The Ransomes HR3300T is favoured by local authorities for it's excellent 18cm/7" kerb climbing ability, low maintenance demands, exceptional storage and operator-friendly ergonomics. The marriage of these two premium quality products provides contractors and councils across the country with an essential new tool in their line-up of grounds care equipment.

The new Wessex ProLine TGX-H mower can be seen on the Broadwood stand R4 at Saltex and is available exclusively from Ransomes dealers nationwide - contact Broadwood International for more information on 01420 478111.

Adaption to hydraulic drive would appear to be simple and effective.

At least you can be sure that Ransomes and Wessex have put some effort into this collaboration - Unlike Bomford who just seem to photocopy a Trimax design, even down to the manuals.

This Ransomes HR3300T platform goes from strength to strength.
