Wiedenmann's latest deep fast aerator, the Terra Spike GXi8, which launched in September, has created huge interest because as well as being versatile it is exceptionally efficient. With 1.8m working width it can cover a spectacular 5800m²/ hour at 110 mm square hole spacings.

Chas Ayres, Wiedenmann UK's Sales Manager, says, "Word is getting around that this machine is both enormously productive and precise. Our sales team are all pretty busy with demos and testings for weeks ahead, everyone wanting to see the GXi8 up close. For a while we seriously thought about taking both the GXi models to Harrogate - the new one and its nippy sister, the GXi6 at 1.4m wide - but you are always a bit tight for space there, so we'll just take the GXi8, but make sure it's right at the front. We've now got ten aerators in our fleet and it's a bit of a dilemma when you can't take everything."

Wiedenmann has also got three new Snow Master blades added to its Snow and Dirt range to launch. Each of these super smooth blades features a built-in shock absorption system. Even at speeds of up to 18.6 miles per hour (30 km/hr) they take bumps in their stride. Also being introduced is the Ice Master, a compact and versatile salt spreader for paths, pavements and roads either via a drop spread or spinner system.

Other Wiedenmann machines headed for Harrogate are the Super 500, for sweeping, leaf collection, verticutting and flail mowing; the Super Pro professional mowers; at least one low noise collectors and blowers; the trio of artificial turf maintenance machines and Wiedenmann's newest surface conditioning equipment - the Terra Float, Terra Slit and Terra Seed.

Groundpro, Wiedenmann's deal-direct trading division, offers the Pro-Cast bulk top dressers and material handling systems.
