Message Board - Website Feedback: What No Chat?

Avatar: Fruit Bat 19 Oct 2007 by Mal

I have to admit that I haven't been in the chat room for a while (Pace of work) but have dipped in and out a few times this last couple of weeks and at different times but far from the buzz in the past with both regular and the exhaulted GOGGA members both feverishly clicking away on keyboards up and down the land heavy with topics from 'Cricket Rolling' through 'whats the best biscuit for dunking in tea (Custard Creams or Jammy Dodgers)' Each and everyone vying for the chance to be invited into the exclusive and popular GOGA club; the chat room was on each occasion desserted. I even lingered a while but alas nothing. Am I just dipping in to late these days?

I have been a few times just to open the windows and let some fresh air, clean up the mouldy cups etc. Dont know what has happend to all the patrons of late. I Put it down to a busy cutting season etc.

Perhaps the cold evenings will bring that chatters back soon.

First topic for the agenda SA's victory

The Tuesday chatters, was at its height very popular, but as you said Sipho, in the busy silly season it goes out of peoples busy lifes, so prehaps the cold evenings will bring a resurgence of chatters, may I sugest that a date is posted with time of chat to assist new and old members take part.

cheers Nigel. from a chilly kentish morning

( GOGGA, never wanted one anyway)

After this week I hop eto be around a bit more in the evenings - September/October always unfortunately brings with it a stream of meetings. What with moving house and club it seems like I've not stopped for the last 2 months and yet haven't actually got much done to show for it.

Of course there's no bounce, bend your back and put some bloody effort in.

Where you off to then jlawrence it's always hard leaving a ground where you have put your heart and sole in.

Left Plymouth in August and now at Weston Super Mare. So now I've got 2 new grounds to play with and get used to - and a new committee to train :)

Of course there's no bounce, bend your back and put some bloody effort in.

Moving, new grounds and committes to train, you obviously like a challenge, I wish you the best of luck, was the move triggered by the grounds or other reasons.

wife got a new job - so we had to move.
The committee doesn't seem too bad so far - we'll see once the season starts as to how much they try and poke their noses in :)

Of course there's no bounce, bend your back and put some bloody effort in.

With regards to the chat - is anyone seeing the 'bat' at the top right to show that people are in there ?

Of course there's no bounce, bend your back and put some bloody effort in.

The web monkey is on the case to find out why the banner doesn't show, when people are in the chat room.
I was in there last night for a while spoke to a couple of people and missed one other (sorry), so had noticed that it wasn't showing.

Hopefully resolved today.
Cheers,
Dave
