A school in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire is after some temporary help with the grounds maintenance. The Head Groundsman is unwell and with the cricket and summer sports starting up, some knowledgable help is required.

In the first instance can you please contact Pitchcare for more details.

We would all love to help out rooter, one i am to far away and two i am at my busiest also.
I find this very interesting, how many other organisations would be in the same boat if there head man went sick ?
As i see it, to many clubs and schools etc, have no cover if things go wrong.
But also, how many other trades have spare capacity to cover when things go wrong ?

I know no boundaries.

Call me naive if you like but i would have thought a school which has a HEAD Groundsman would have a Deputy Head or a senior assistant or at the very least someone who the H.G. has trained in the theory and practicalities of his own job.

If this is not the case, does it follow that the school's man-management methods are lacking?

Hi Sipho. I think the answer is that it has been generated by Pitchcare, so being the administrators of the site, they have the ability to keep it atop I guess.

Ticky supports British farmers...!!

on message boards and forums, "stickys" are notices and or reminders of rules etc..i belong to quite a few forums for various organisations, eg. British Farming Forum....and these stickys are common place... it just means that the moderators can place and reserve info at the head of a message board for all to see first....
