Grafter look in the pitchcare shop, theres a product called Agriturf pro gaurd, this contains carbendazim which p****s the little blighters off, it only suppresses them though by sending them deeper, it doesn't kill them so repeat applications will be required. Before anyone else says it of course you should be qualified if you are spraying this substance yourself, so you may have to get someone in to spray for you.

What are the options if no one at the club is qualified to spray? How much does a contractor usually charge for worm control? I don't have any on the manin square but the junior square (50ft away) is riddled with them.

There's an AmTurf Solutions product called GreenClean that is a non-pesticidal worm deterrent, it doesn't kill them but it does an effective job of driving them away, and so doesn't need a qualification to use it. It works well at this time of year but will create some new growth as it contains 10% ammoniacal nitrogen.
Andy Matthews has not quite got accurate info....Pro-Turf is carbendazim and that seriously does kill worms, its an MBC-generator like benomyl, thiophanate-methyl and thiabendazole, and these products are lethal to worms. In fact they were originally developed back in the 60's as worm killers for use in livestock and even humans in the case of thiabendazole.
The effects of GreenClean on worm deterrence wears off as the grass takes the material up, but high rates can give 6 weeks plus persistence, and you can tank mix it with irons and seaweeds, or even fungicides.... Hope this helps?
