After getting back from a long earned rest from the costa blanca benidorm on saturday i wasnt to best pleased to see what had been going on at the ground.
Im not going into to detail for certain reasons but with immediate effect i decided to resign as groundsman.
Im going to take some time out as my mother is seriousley ill at the moment i hope to be back in the game soon.
Hopefully there will be a club that wants me and will not mess me around.

Well Saint, that is sad to hear.
I have read many of your posts on here and you come across as a top guy you seem to have an enthusiasm for your role that many could learn from. Sorry to hear of your mothers illness too.
Just be sure to get back into the game, this industry could do with people like you.
Mike
I would like to wish both you and your mum the very best Saint.
It sounds as if you have had the stuffing knocked out of you, enjoy your break.

I'm sorry to hear that too, Saint. Both as regards St. Neots and your Mother.
As far as the Football Club is concerned everything seemed to be going so well. Sounds like you've had a real slap in the face.
I wish you the very best of luck for the future.
From the posh end of the room!!
I have read your posts over several years and you always seem to be enjoying your groundsmanship, hopefully this is just a blip..and you are back into it soon.
best wishes to you and your family.

Thats football clubs for you unfortunately, it happens at all levels in different ways so dont be surprised if such situations come your way again in the future.
To lighten the subject a bit, has anyone told David Boughtwood there is now a job going.....
Good luck Saint, best wishes to your Mum, chin up mate.
Saint had the same thing happen to me, worked my nuts off for 5 years at a club turned the square from a s**t heap into one of the best in the league, also got the outfield looking great and then got treated like s**t. At least you have got your priorities right looking after your mum, hope she gets well soon. You will soon get another job dedicated groundsman are hard to come by as St Neots are about to find out.

good luck to you and your family , hope your back in the game soon as the photos you have shown say your a top groundsman , im afraid it happens in all sports not just football
Hi i thank you very much for your kind remarks i really do. We are all friends in this industry and we all help each other which is great weather it be in football golf etc.
I did enjoy my time at st neots and i was in need of a rest having a full time job aswell it was a little to much with the new ground really needing a full time groundsman.
At every level of football or other industrys you will always get the clowns who think they are better than you and try to tell you how to do your job.
Certain issues i can deal with some are just over the top.
It will be good to have a rest and i hope sooner than later i can get back into things. I am a ambitious guy and hopefully 1day ill get my chance.
If a club locally in cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire meet my requirements ill talk.
To be honest if there is a pro club wanting a divoter i would love to do that aswell
Once again i thankyou all i really mean that and dont worry ill be back in the industry soon if you know any1 locally give me a call or private message me.
Thanks Rob Bradshaw 0709029665
Saint i m very sorry to hear that you have left your post at St Neots and that your mother is seriously ill and just wanted to pass on my best wishes for you both and hope that you get back into the industry again when the time is right.
also thanks for advice you have given me to

Rob,
Just to add my little bit. I, like everyone else wish you and your Mom all the very best.
The club are obviously going to lose out in this instance. Something major must have happened as you have put your heart and soul into that place. And as we "sing from the same hymn sheet" as regards our jobs I too understand your frustrations as I have gone through it. Sometimes other people think they know better than you but in the end they will probably come unstuck.
Good luck mate.
No wonder I'm Mr Grumpy!
Thanks chucky my options are open im just going to enjoy the time with my family and friends defo go down to emirates whatch severel arsenal games and going to wembley 11th october.
Im sure there will be some club wanting a young ambitious guy
