Sprayed MYOB with Round up bio on lawn that will be returfed. 2 weeks now and no sign of damn stuff dying!
Should I wait a bit longer or spray again as everything else is dying. Going to lay topsoil over before laying turf.

What rate of pro Bio did you use?
A weed is a plant whose virtue is yet to be dicovered.

20 ml in 4 litres, with green anvil nozzle.

I don't think that the weather conditions, particularly temperature, are conducive to effective weed spraying at this moment in time this year. If it hasn't been washed off, then leave it a little longer and hope for a warmer spell. If you think it has washed off, then again wait for a warm spell
and apply again. You could, of course, go back to the dark ages and scarify the weed up and hope that your layer of topsoil and turf will smother any new weed growth.
Good luck.

Try using veridone, (I think that's how it's spelt!).

I would agree with four oaks, just hang on in there for another while. the tempetures are a bit low for the use of roundup.

Dose rate is on the low side for the more persitant deeper rooting weeds, OK if it is mainly grass you are trying to knock out. Even in high summer when growth is at its best, you wouldn't expect to see much effect within 7 - 9 days. Provided it was applied to a dry leaf and there was no rain with in 4 - 6 hrs it will work given time.

What area of ground did you apply the 20 ml of glyphosate to?
Apply at 0.5 ml / m2 in no more than 30 ml water / m2 @ 3 bar pressure
Over diluting this product can lessen its efficacy
I would certainly not put top soil on top of any grass and lay turf as when this decays that may be a chance that toxins can be produced such as alcohols that will inhibit health growth
Verdone is a selective herbicide and will only kill certain broadleaved weeds

PS reduce the pH of the glyphosate to 3 and reduce the application rate to 0.06 ml / m2 (600 ml / Ha for the same result)

Using a dose rate of 4ltrs/Ha (lower recomended rate) 20mls would be enough for 50m2
IGS, how would you reduce the pH of Glyphosate to 3 and would this be on the label recomendation from the manufacturer to do this. I have never heard of this, so just curious.

I have had much better results when using Finale, rather than Roundup. But MYOB is difficult to kill off especially this time of the year.

Six to eight weeks is quite norm for a kill this time of year. Just wait.

When you consider that Roundup or to refer to the active ingrediant Glyphosate is systemic in nature it should be recognised that the chemical has to be actively drawn into the plants vascular system for it to work. Unlike a contact which will effectively kill as the action mode sugests kill on contact with the plants leaves and stems etc. So in order for a systemic to work effectively the plant needs to be actively growing. So in periods of dormancy during the winter the effectiveness of a selective weedkiller is minimal. Not forgetting that this can also be the case during the summer when the plant is subject to drought.
Geography is everywhere

I have also found that grass seems quite susceptable and shows signs well before other plants, particularly something like MYOB. As juls says your dose rate may be on the light side for perrenial weeds.

Will give it another week then scrape it off the surface. as usual it's around the edge of the lawn. Customer wants the turf laid.
Thanks for all your help.

I am not sure quite what you mean when you say 'scrape it off the surface'. But it is inactivated when it comes in contact with soil also livestock can safely graze a treated area after 6 days, so I would say there is no risk to new turf being laid over it. Several cm of topsoil will provide a buffer if you have any doubts

Hi there
Providing you have applied it correctly, the application of glyphosate will work, in fact glyphosate works well even at 1 litre ha when applied late in season, it does take a while for it to show, but providing you have time to wait it will work.
Patience is the only application needed!!
Check your contractors credentials before you use them
