Message Board - Cricket: Polyurethane Adhesive

dwayne 10 Feb 2009 by olaf

Whilst working in the Netherlands I came across Sabaplast 70T a polyurethane adhesive thats fantastic When patching flat sheet covers. It's easy to work with and being both water resistant and flexible was the ideal stuff.
Can't find it in the UK though.
Does anyone know of a similar product available here.
It's specially designed for pvc type materials and gave a better bonding than using heat which let's face it is a bit of a specialist art.

Some people are like Slinky's, totally useless but amusing if you push them down the stairs

Sounds a better solution (pardon the pun!) than running long extension cables out for the heat gun.

I can only find a reference to the name which turns out to be a company of Italian cabinet makers.

Anybody else heard of the stuff?

I know no boundaries.

Mario, I've managed to find the company website and no they ain't Italian but Dutch. Have sent an enquiry asking if the stuff is available in the UK. I find it hard to believe that some UK adhesive maker does not produce it.
have a look at saba.nl

Andy/ Ken, when i was at Uxbridge CC i called stuart canvas who put me in touch with another company in the UK who supplied them, i managed to buy direct but their name now escapes me, you could try following the trail. (excuse pun Ken)
if no luck i will ask UCC to look through their accounts

I may cut grass, but i'm not green !!
