can i spray weedkillers with a pa1 certificate aslong asthere is apa6 holder working with me thanks mossie

Are you using a tractor mounted sprayer because i think pa1 is knapsack and Pa6 is tractor mounted but could be wrong...

Brian - PA1 is the base module, PA6 is for knapsack sprayers and PA2 is for tractor mounted boom sprayers.

mossie - I believe what you are proposing is legal so long as the person 'supervising' is within sight and earshot of you.

I was recently in contact with a H&S officer as I had a few spraying related questions. One that cropped up was what qualification you would need if you were operating a tractor mounted boom sprayer, but you were using a hand lance with it. He couldn't actually give me a clear answer, but he suspected that the PA6 would cover this type of usage, I was quite surprised by this.
