Can anyone recommend a company giving good service at a realistic price? We have a contract with a company currently but don't use it enough to make it cost effective. In three years we have filled one 200lt barrel but pay for three collections per annum, not best use of limited resources.

Try Midlube, although I think they are now called Greensman?

They come form York way I think, but do alot of the golf clubs round by me.

They have different contracts but I pay a pretty reasonable flat fee and they take away chem empties, used oil, contaminated rag, anti freeze, filters, aerosol. I don't think I have any limit on quantities apart from maybe the aerosols, and they'll collect whenever I've got a big enough pile or if they are servicing the clubs nearby.

Enviro green is the way forward.

A weed is a plant whose virtue is yet to be dicovered.

Thanks for the replies. Have made some enquiries and didn't realise the costs involved in getting rid of empties, nearly costs as much as buying them in the first place when full of chemical.

You might find that a standard commercial waste company (the type that leaves a large wheelie bin) will take them if they are triple washed and empty obviously. I know we have a company that does that in our area and you get all the paperwork for proof of disposal data.
