Message Board - Cricket: New ro ro covers.
28 Apr 2009 by GeoffP Last edited 28 Apr 2009
Our new covers arrived and were assembled by JMS today. I have never used covers before. There seems to be 2 couplings for the hoses on each cover.
Is there a middle cover and 2 end ones?
I have been left to cut the 75m of hose to the lengths i want. What lengths do you chaps recommend? I have a 11 strip square
Also, they came with 20lm of water booms with eyelets in. What is this for?
Thanks In advance
Geoff

congratulations you've bought the best covers on the market. there is no middle cover, you can put them on in any order, make sure the bogey wheels are at the front when you push them on and 1 person can push them on and off, cut the hoses so that the ends of the hose run off the square behind the wickets. not sure what you mean about the booms these normally stop water from running under the covers on a sloping square

Having pulled a thigh muscle on saturday morning at 7.00am trying to pull on my flat sheet, all I can say is, "you lucky ba****d"!
What do I do? I just cut the grass.

Geoff,
Not sure about the best covers on the market and I think age comes into play with pushing them on and off.
Since we use the same covers and are quite close to you if you want in to look at what lengths we have cut the hose to. Either pop in (West Bridgfordians on Stamford Rd) or give me a ring on 07776157738 if you want a visit.
Dave
