Hi Villager
Go to www.the-gtc.co.uk, click on Guide To Qualifications on the left and then National Occupational Standards for N/SVQ.
You may not like/disagree with NVQs but all turf qualifications in the UK have to meet the Occupational Standards, whether NVQ, City & Guilds, National Certificate, HND, or Foundation Degree. These have been developed by LANTRA, the lead body for Horticulture in the UK through which sports turf and greenkeeping qualifications are developed in partnership with industry representation, eg the GTC, IOG and other training providers.
Best regards

Many thanks Andy
Im currently doing NVQ level 3 and am struggling to find information about national turfgrass standards.
Are you saying that NTS is about qualifications? and being met to a standard of recognition by by City and Guilds.

Hi Villager, do you mean the standard of the turf itself? If so, try the Turfgrass Growers' Association website where you'll find info on the TGA Quality Standards for cultivated turf.
