Message Board - Bowls: Cutting Green

In the August Bowls Diary it mentions cutting the grass in all directions. Does this mean I can go straight up and down the green for a change and then go from corner to corner.

You may get a riot if you leave lines which might be considered as 'aiming' or 'sighting' lines by the bowlers!

Very difficult to bowl against the knap, with the wood wanting to run out of control when running with the knap.
I believe that mowing at slightly different angles is what is meant.
Across the green during the out of season as well as angles.

Depends if you are flat green or crown green??

Panch and myself cut 3 crown greens 3 times a week, once in line with the club house, once at 90 degrees to the club house and once from corner to corner, on the next week it's the same apart from starting from the other corner, currently at 4mm.
