I have been asked to weed kill in paddock/horse menage. What weed control is safe to use with lifestock?

Yes to first 3. Doing mate favour, have PA1 and 6 and about 5million public liability. As regards doing this type of work have done lots of spraying over last 15 years just not a menage area. Mate has usually done himself but can't get product anymore so asked me.

Any advice, what product is usually used to do this type of work?

Mr.R,
The chemical i would use is Depitox 24d, but there are more questions.
If the ragwort is is in the field, and in flower, then do not spray now, top it and spray in september, its using all its energy to produce seeds at the moment, and is most resistant to chemicals.
If you cannot see ragwort in the field, i would still leave 28 days before grazing again, ragwort when dying becomes pallatable to stock, and could kill the horses.
Sheep eat ragwort and is a natural way of controlling it.
Hope comments help.

To anybody who may have got ragwort, it is not advisable to top off Ragwort. It is recommended that you pull ragwort up with roots and put straight in to a bin bag where the seeds can't disperse.
