Hi guys,
Been on fine turf lawn today which have been looking after for two years. has had as many this last few weeks a bit of red thread but also has a few isolated rings approx 4 inch (100mm) !! which appear blue. this rubs off to the touch please advise.

Now there's a strange one? Blue rings that rub off? It may be beneficial for diagnosis if you could upload a photo? Grass will usually turn bluey when it is suffering from drought. The blue colour will turn pale brown eventually though, it's the rubbing off bit that is really weird though?

Upload a shot if you can

I have seen rust turn grass orange and sooty-mould turn grass a bluey/black colour and I have seen small grass patches of lush growth caused by rabbits pee...... But I can't say I,ve seen blue rings!

Hi guys,
Cant post photo as the grass has now been cut and symptoms have been erased will find out if it re appears it waspedominantly on the north facing part of the lawn but drought not a prob as the chap irrigates when required and cuts twice a week with cylinder mower. It is his pride and joy. There were about 8 small patches in all and on inspection looked like you had coated the sward in pale blue powder which as i said just rubbed off. It does seem like a typical mould but given normal weather that we have had thought it was strange and no symptoms on ajoining lawns
