Consider this:

Aercore 800

It's a fantastic machine. I have two for about three years now and haven't had a problem. it is superior to the JD800 (which itself isn't a bad machine but the 648 is better). I would recommend getting the roller option also if you plan on solid tining a lot as when using small tines you can hardly tell you did anything.

Great machine with nothing on the market to compare, You can core at different space settings and to different depths with easy adjustable controls, the lowering and raising of tining unit is by means of a button and you don't get the wheel ruts as the wheels are tucked in and ahead of the ting unit. Get a demo and see for yourself

I fully agree with greengiant, we have two of these machines and they THE best out there, quick and easy to use. Quality machine.

By far the best spiker I've ever used. If only I could actually afford one :(

Of course there's no bounce, bend your back and put some bloody effort in.

A good machine for the golf course, wide working width for a start. Would be great on bowls greens and cricket squares, but you would have a job getting it on most bowling greens and it is very likely that very few clubs, bowling or cricket would have a shed big enough to store it.
Has been mentioned, what a cost, get two or even three groundsman machines for the same money. If you have a tractor, get a tractor mounted machine for about two thirds the cost, same working width as well.

We have just bought one, and without having used the Aercore, the one plus when just looking at the two is that the wheels wont go over the holes you have just made when using it. We have gone from aerating with a tractor once a month weather permitting to using the Procore every two weeks in almost any weather (including todays torrential showers!), we were late converts to the machine, but I know most top level football clubs have these machines now, some even have two at the training ground.

I can only reciprocate what others before have said before me, cracking machine, quick and easy, and very simple to use.

I did my pitch on wednesday, 2.5'' spacings, 3" solid tines and took me around 3 n half hours. Had a few interuptions but I belive you can do it in 3 hours.

I`m glad I did choose to do it on wednesday after the rain we`ve had today :(

I wish we could afford one, ah well.
