Have used cluster tines with good effect on ends and while bringing a wicket back mid season.
Use Graden lines during end of season renovations.

Haven't started my end of season work yet as still playing. I plan to scarify and use the cluster tines on my Groundsman on the basis that it will create even more opportunuities for the seed to drop into, over and above those already created by the scarified lines.

I'll need a bit of rain, or will need to water, to help with the tines although only planning to set them at 5-10mm.

This will be the first time I've used the Groundsman this way at the end of the season.... so it will be a learning curve!

Still Learning

Brian.

I have used solid cluster tines on our Groundsman 460 SDR for several years on the whole of our cricket square for years with consistently excellent results.
I run the machine up and down the same run with one man following on throwing seed and another besoming it in to the holes. It comes up like a carpet every time.

If it wasn't so time consuming I'd do it on all my tennis courts as well.

Of course the grass looks good. The sun is shining.
