Message Board - Cricket: Which scarifier??

24 Sep 2009 by Jamie Davies

Our Sisis Trio-Rotorake has finally packed in this week, literally falling to pieces with frame, bucket, roller bracket, throttle cable, drive chain & drive reel (to name but a few!) all knackering this week alone!!
Although luckily not before getting a few good passes in for the end of season works!!
The sisis has been used solidly for approx 15 yrs, springs & brush to groom in-season & scarifying & cleaning up for end of season works on each of our 15 strips.

I am basically wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best machines with interchangeable options (pref. springs or veritcutter cassette, scarifying option & brush cassette).
Thought i'd try to get a few tips before spending the next few months searching the information highway for a new machine.

Thanks,

JD

I used the Sisis Mark5 Rotarake today, albeit a new one,did 3 directions of my Kaloam square which was pretty solid, and it didn't flinch once!nice and easy to use...apart fom the bucket which took some getting used to,but the crap it took out was amazing!Tungsten tip tines were hardly worn!
To be honest i've only used Sisis in Cricket and my Golf work, think they are pretty good but i'm sure others will disagree!
