I have used several tonnes of this on my greens it has without doubt improved them beyond belief making them considerable more playable through the winter, as an added benefit disease seems to have reduced considerabley. It isn't a sand it is a diatomacious earth. All in all a great product that has helped us be more playable through the winter months therefore making more money. I seem to be irrigating less through the summer.

Having just googled, it would appear to be one of those natural products that has many uses, from applying to greens as above to applying to your bed and carpets.
Mark, it appears to be a dust, how do you apply tons of it and at what cost. Suggests application is 400gs to 13 sq m.

Yes you are right it is very close to a dust particle but it is a granule the way we have carried out the operation was firstly to verti-drain to a depth of 8 inches and then empty the product onto the green, then push the product across the tined green rembering to remove the back roller off the drain as this helps the hole stay open finally using a hover mower to blow the excess axis away and forcing it down the holes.
I have used 13000 kg in 2 applications carried out anually and the cost seems to be, the more you buy the cheaper it becomes.
For more infomation contact The Drift Golf Club and ask for myself.

It used to give me a nasty saw throat - mask recommended.

rigby taylor do a product called greens profile which is the same but i found it easy to use just mxied with topdressing on golf greens, and i have also used it on the centre circle of a football pitch after verti draining with good results.
