Hi Donk, Initial markings can differ but we would charge between £90 and £120 for the first mark and then £35 per re-mark for Football, Hockey and Rugby. Running Tracks initial mark would be £250 and £50 per re-mark.

Hi Tomaz
thanks for that, what sort of marker do you use is it a spray marker or a transfer wheel ? I take it you are a contractor.

Now i definately know i am to cheap. Thanks for that tomaz. Where in the country do you operate please ?

We prefer to use transfer wheel markers and yes we are contractors and are based in London and the south east.

We charge £80 for initial mark of winter sports pitches and £ 25 for single pitch remarks, £ 20 for multi pitch sites. An 8 lane 400m running track would be £300 and £ 90 per remark. We prefer transfer wheel markers but have just invested in a bowcom trike. Like tomaz we are based in the south east. Hope this is useful.

I always charge approx £120 to set and mark a soccer pitch, but then i also charge the same to set out a rugby pitch on the same site. An overmark is charged at £25 per time, weekly. How often is your pitch marked ?

Hi all,

How do people that either have one or have tried the Bowcom Trike rate it?

Are they easy to use and calibrate? Easy to clean and maintain?
Does a particular paint work better with it?
How much time does it save?

Regards
AB.

Hi AB
we've been using one for a couple of seasons now. Fantastic piece of kit any of the spray marker paints are fine through it, we've tried quite a few. Struggles when pitches are waterlogged but so will any marker.
we have found it gives us about a 25% time saving but the main bonus is you can mark all day without getting knackered. Its also great for initial marking i can set out a football pitch on my own in less than an hour.
Donk is the overmark strung out or not? if not i would say the overmark was expensive we charge £15 for football and £20 for rugby.

no strings just straight over the top

Panch,

Which is your preferred paint throught the trike?
Do you go to Bowcom for spares etc and how do you find them to deal with?

Panch has omitted to say he only gets knackered with the trike when he spends 10 minutes trying to pull start it with the on/off switch in the off position I was bloody frozen stood waiting to move the rope at the other end of the field
