What are the best second hand ride on cyclinder mower types/makes for a football pitch?
Factors to consider:

a low budget of 5000 pounds and less (sori pound sign not working!)

economical running costs

Hi Mark......to be honest, ifyou have a budget of up to £5k....you are pretty well spoilt for choice, there are a lot of good quality machines out there for below that budget, i must confess that im not up to date with all the latest cylinder triples .., i know John Deere do a good reliable machine, which is actually a re-badged Sabo Roberine, and old faithfuls like Ransomes Parkway 2130, and Hayter 324...which is a lovely machine to operate, and produces a nice cut...
Do you need to limit your choice to cylinder machines, outfront rotary machine do a quality cut, my mate on here Parkman runs a New Holland MC35 with an outfront deck, beautiful finish as do Kubota 3060 or 3650, i have just purchased a Toro Groundmaster 228D and i paid £3k for it....in immaculate condition....just a thought,

thank you for reply. we have a westwood T18 rotary mower. and it does give a ok finish. i think these mowers are more suited to large gardens rather than sports pitches.

yes youre right Mark...the westwood is a "large garden" ride on...to get some idea of what is out there, just google some of the model names ive put up ..ie...used hayter 324....this is my Toro ive just bought...its got a 62inch recycler deck on...so with regualr mowing, absolutely no cuttings laid....and as i said previously i paid £3k for it....
