Message Board - Natural Turf: Time scale of putting in new drainage systems

12 Dec 2009 by Mark Jones

i have enquired about the potential cost of primary and secondary drainage......

I am wondering how long does it takes to install a primary or seconday system or both. Again it may be a case of how long is a piece of string...........

our season like most ends the first week in May and our first home game would start late july for friendlies.

the council had secondary drainage put in on a near by pitch last year. And they seemed to be there for ages and i think it wasnt finished until september

Have a look at the Koro Topdrain on Campey Turfcare website.
This will put a secondary drainage system in a football pitch at 0.5 mtr centres. in less than two days start to finish.
