we need a bit of luck as well richard, bloody robbed last saturday with another overweight linesman and useless ref! Im in grimsby itself and look after holton-le-clay cc.
7 Jan 2010 by aussie_nob
we called our game today...
7 Jan 2010 by Richard Willerton
Martin agreed we could do with a bit of luck but by the same token Akpro could have made it 2-0 a couple of minutes after he scored, a win is coming mate.
Was on the pontoon end on saturday and am confident(ish) that we've got enough to get out of this mess.
Onwards and upwards!!

Hi Rich and Andy, Happy New Year chaps. Hope all is good with you.
So this is the new Mariners website is it Rich?!
I bet your **** gets a bit chilly sat on that machine! It was -5 this morning which for us is mighty cold, but friends in Wallingford said it was -15 which is gettin' cold.
Got me paper work organised for tomorrow,
Cheers
Neil.

Hi Richard
Not Farsley but right league, Stalybridge Celtic.
We`ve just called ours off for tomorrow, can`t see us playing on Tuesday either.
Harrogate have already been on the phone saying our game a week on Sat is very much in doubt also.
The future is bleak!

Bath
Looks very picturesque as they all do currently! Just to say what a great website and obviously a very well run club.
What do I do? I just cut the grass.

It is Barry...but so it should be as its known to be one of the richest clubs in England!!..certainly in our area anyway!
11 Jan 2010 by Grassman2011
Thanks Barry. Settle down Dave.
11 Jan 2010 by MAVO
Sorry bout that Gordon!...we tried to arrange a friendly against you for this season...hopefully at yours as i've never played there in 20years of playing...and your skipper didn't reply!...not really suprising after our efforts last year in national cup against you!!
To those that don't know their warm-up lasted longer than the game!
11 Jan 2010 by Grassman2011
No reply is not good Dave. New skipper though this year, Tom Stayte.

At least no-one is moaning that the wicket isn't white!!!
12 Jan 2010 by mario
What's that green stuff appearing through the white stuff and water??
I know no boundaries.
13 Jan 2010 by andy dixon
It's the pink snow mould you want to worry about!!! Seriously, all melted here today and no disease!
13 Jan 2010 by barry glynn
Where are you Andy? More serious snow down south this morning, travelling was a nightmare, 10 miles in 3 hours!
But it looks like its thawing now over next few days, some welcome rain due cos it should bring some warmer ( huh, everything is relative I suppose) weather
What do I do? I just cut the grass.

I`m very south. About 10 minutes walk from the central south coast. We were mostly defrosted yesterday but the last of it has gone today. Temperature is hovering around 4-5 C today. Talked to some groundsmen in Surrey today though that said they got it again last night. Even though they're only 100 miles north, that couple of degrees makes the difference between rain and snow.
13 Jan 2010 by barry glynn
Yep it was blizzard like this morning. Now it is thawing again.
Havent seen my grass for over a week now. Hopefully it will be ok, its had 2 lots of winter fert on it since early November.
Should be getting up to 5 degrees or so
What do I do? I just cut the grass.
